Come Visit the Home of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
The Miraculous Medal Shrine, located in the historic Germantown section of Philadelphia, provides a peaceful sanctuary for prayer, meditation, and pilgrimage. Built in 1927, the Shrine is an architecturally rich church, built cruciform in shape and in the Romanesque style. Its side archways are modeled after those of the Hagia Sophia (Church of St. Sophia) in Istanbul (Constantinople), Turkey, and its hallowed walls surround visitors and Marian devotees with a calming silence and stillness.
Filled with traditional Marian artwork, stained glass, and stunning altars, the Shrine is a fitting home for Our Blessed Mother, and visitors quickly notice her tranquil and loving presence. Come and experience the comfort of your Mother in a place where prayers are heard and graces granted.
