Scene of the Virgin holding in her right hand the Christ Child swathed in a white veil, her right hand holding a pen which she dips in an inkwell held by a child kneeling before her, another child bearing a book with the words of the Magnificat, a third child dressed in violet with gold trim watching from avove, two children in background bearing a crown for the Blessed virgin. Gilt tondo frame with carved inner egg-and-dart molding and outer border of fruits and leaves, twentieth century. Original work housed in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence.
