When 24-year Catherine Laboure' entered the Parisian convent of the Daughters of Charity, she had no idea that her faith and perseverance would touch millions of lives for centuries to come.

During a late-night encounter with the Blessed Mother, she was given a mission that would be championed more than eighty years later by The Central Association of the Miraculous Medal's founder, Joseph Skelly.

This episode of The Faithful Traveler includes an interview with the Association's current executive Director, Father Carl Pieber, C.M. who retells the story of St. Catherine Laboure' and the Miraculous Medal.  You will see the magnificent statues and paintings of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in both the Shrine and Art Museum.
